Wow!! Long time now type!

Sorry for the utter lack of posts! The holidays were extremely busy! I hope that Santa was good to all... No Coal in the stockings?

Well, here is my yearly reminder. If you are still doing it manually.... Don't forget to update the copyrights on your website(s).

If you are still doing it manually.. Then QUIT IT!! Save yourself some work.. I know, it's not hard.. Only once a year.. But why think about it.

Check out my entry from last year on a Javascript AND Coldfusion method of keeping those pesky copyrights in check.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

CFX_PFPro_Java Download - Finally

I've been pulling my hair out for a few days looking for the Coldfusion CFX tag for PayFlow Pro. I'm moving/upgrading a customer's webstore and the old cfx tag would not work on the new server's CF installation. So I had to get a more current tag. Only, PayPal no longer supplies the Coldfusion SDK and they don not have access to any older versions!?!?!

But, thanks to a very helpful person on the CFWebstore yahoo group I was directed to Apok-Technology. They had a copy of the tag and supplied a link to download the zip! Thanks guys!! You saved Me!

So, if you are searching for the Coldfusion SDK for PayflowPro I'll attach the zip file to this entry for you to download or you can go visit Dave over at Apok Technology. Also, if you are having issues making this tag work on CF 8 Read a little deeper on that site, they have a fix for that as well!

Coldfusion 7

Well, Being as Coldfusion version 8 (aka Scorpio) has been released, I decided to try and get my server copy updated as well... However, being a CHEAP ... I decided only to move up to version 7..

I really couldn't pass it up. My server was running version 6.1 and I could have upgraded to 8 for ONLY $649.00.. But, Looking on EBAY I found a NEW... Still in the original package, plastic wrap still on the box, never opened, never used copy of the FULL version of CFMX 7.0.2. And, for ONLY $ 475.00 it could be mine... All Mine..

Well, the cheap meter in me when off like a gun blast and I got it... The cool thing about upgrading is that it opened up a new feature of my Blog.. Printing to PDF. You'll now notice that there is a "Print" selection following each blog. Clicking that link will create a PDF out of the entry it is listed with. So, if you want to save my brilliant rantings in your scrap book; you can now, with ease!

Day for Announcements!!

Well, today is starting to shape up quite nicely.

This morning Adobe announced the beta release of Coldfusion 8 (Scorpio). Head over and check it out.. From the examples going on over at Ray Camden's Site It looks like this release will be well worth it!!

And Also, a friend of mine just e-mailed me with this little tid-bit:

Fred Dalton Thompson is planning to enter the presidential race over the Fourth of July holiday, announcing that week that he has already raised several million dollars and is being backed by insiders from the past three Republican administrations, Thompson advisers told The Politico.
