Google-a-holic
I think I'm becoming a “Google-a-holic”… If there is such a thing. I recently had to upgrade my QuickBooks software and low and behold it installs the Google Desktop. I was going to uninstall it… hate to have lots of things running.. but thought I'd give it a look see first..
This thing is pretty KOOOL!! I've got it running as a side bar on my second monitor currently and… did I say it's KOOOL?!?!
- It is monitoring my rss feeds for me..
- Tells me when new mail comes in…
- Giving me some current news…
- Telling me it's Raining out….
- Has a note pad.. that saves the notes?!?
- It's scrolling through my photos?!?
I just can't get over it… This thing may actually be productive.
of course it may start to bug the crap out of me tomorrow.. But I'll save that for a later rant. Could Google really be the precursor for the Borg?
