I’ve been using Windows Vista Ultimate now on my main computer now since March 18, 2007. And, I have to tell you I’m very pleased with the results.
I’ve had one blue screen in that time… AND it was completely my fault, I tried installing a program that was not intended to run under vista. It said it was not compatible.. but I had to try and was slapped down for my cheek! Other than that, Windows Vista is turning out to be a VERY GOOD operating system. My wife is using a MAC book pro with OS X and she has had more problems with program freezes and locking up than I do on either my XP of Vista Machines.
Enough of that… Some of the major complaints I see on the web have to deal with the UAC (User Access Control). So, not that I recommend doing this, as the new Vista UAC (User Access Control) adds a lot of security to the new Vista operating system but, here is a simple method for turning off the UAC in Windows Vista.
