August 18, 2009 By Robert Owen

Ran into a slight problem today.  I had to add a couple of older computers to a  new Domain.  Pretty easy to do normally but these workstations had a version of Trend Micro's Officescan from their previous domain that needed to be removed so that the new version could be installed. I couldn't just uninstall the client (which would be the best solution) as that requires a password and no one in the office could remember the old password.  (As a side note, when you install network versions of … [Read more...]

Friday Funny: Teacher Joke

August 14, 2009 By Robert Owen

*sigh*  :-(   Well, the Summer Vacation is officially over.  Since I have so many friends who are teachers and School is about to start back here in Knox County,  I thought today's Friday Funny should go out to all my Teacher friends.  You know,  just to help prepare them for a return to the classroom and all their wonderful students after a Summer break that may have dulled their reactions. Enjoy!  A teacher was helping her student with a math problem.  She recited the … [Read more...]

Pre-Order your ZuneHD!

August 13, 2009 By Robert Owen

The other Day Gizmodo and others leaked information about the official release date and prices for the new Zune HD.  If you missed those posts here's the "skinny". According to Microsoft the new Zune HD will officially be available starting September 15, 2009.  Originally we thought the release date was set for September 5, then later we heard it had changed to late October or early November of this year.   So, it's good to have an Official Announcement on the date. The new Zune HDs are … [Read more...]

Paying Homage to the 80’s, Sorta.

August 7, 2009 By Robert Owen

I guess I should feel a bit ashamed that the Friday Funnies seem to be taking over the site. I do have other posts in the works.  Serious, thought provoking, and helpful posts.   But, who can resist this much fun? It seems that Rhett and Link have done it again!!  This time they target the 80's. Actually this is the opening video to some contest they are running but, it's hilarious non the less.   I VIVIDLY remember people dressing and acting like this when I was in Middle and High School.  … [Read more...]

Friday Funny: How to give a Cat a pill.

August 7, 2009 By Robert Owen

This week's Friday funny comes from a High School friend of mine. ( Thanks Emily!!! :-) )  She posted this ditty to her Facebook page on Wednesday and I felt it needed to be shared. How to give a Cat a Pill Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth … [Read more...]
