Tea Party Wrap up

April 16, 2009 By Robert Owen

Did you make it to the Knoxville  Tax Day Tea Party yesterday?  No?  Me either... you know, too busy working off my share of the national debt. Anyway, since you missed it, here's a good "wrap up" from my friend Scott Adcox: ...There was a pretty varied cross section of people. Lots of “Fair Tax” signs (I’ll post later why I have a hard time getting on board with that), lots of Ron Paul supporters, and thankfully not much bashing of President Obama directly. I think most people understand that … [Read more...]

Those Brits are a Talented Bunch

April 15, 2009 By Robert Owen

This is just a quick post to link to a video I saw on YouTube I would normally just embed it but they wont allow this one to be embedded. This is way better than the crap that spits on on American Idol and, shows you shouldn't judge by appearance alone. Give this a look:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY … [Read more...]

About Your Payment. Really?

April 13, 2009 By Robert Owen

I got an new variation on that Nigerian E-mail Scam today. Remember that one? It's the one where somebody rich in Nigeria can't get the money out of their relatives estate and needs to transfer it to your American Bank account. Bank Name, address, bank account, social security number, blood type, next of kin, etc, etc, etc... Well, the one I got today takes on another angle, check it … [Read more...]

As I continue to work on my Taxes (is it too late to request a bailout?), I find myself needing some background noise. Normally, I would turn on BrinkFM but my wife found this little Video this weekend and I've become addicted. So, I post this here for so you'll get addicted for you to enjoy. Back to Taxes! … [Read more...]

Friday Funny: Hillbilly Vasectomy

April 10, 2009 By Robert Owen

This week's Friday Funny comes to us from my fine stash of old e-mails. People send me the darnedest things. Strangely,  as I type this, I have the urge to warn all who read... "Don't Try this at home!!" And, with that, I give you: … [Read more...]

Some Sillies for Tuesday

April 7, 2009 By Robert Owen

Darn Silliness! As you've probably noticed I've been listening to Brink.fm a bit here lately... not because I'm a HUGE fan of Radio (I'm more of a Audio Book person) but, because they play some pretty good stuff and a Friend of mine runs it. Patrick asked a bunch of us to record some Station IDs for him to use during song breaks. So, I cracked my knuckles, dug out the microphone, fired up Audacity and got to work. I decided to share some of my wonderful creations with you all... So … [Read more...]
