Welcome Readers!

June 9, 2009 By Robert Owen

Hello all, I was planning a post for today... have a couple in mind actually but, like everyday I got distracted. I thought... Hey!... I've set up that Google Analytics thing but never actually looked at it's VERY detailed reports. I wonder what people are already reading. Well, to my surprise... (and to yours, I'm sure ;-) ) I actually have some readers out there. And this, as you can image, distracted me even further. "Where are these people coming from? Turns out, my site has seen hits … [Read more...]

The First Microsoft Bing Ad

June 5, 2009 By Robert Owen

I ran across this a little while ago. Microsoft has launched it's first Bing commercial and, it's not terrible. Nothing Earth Shattering but it's a pretty good commercial. I've used "Bing" a few times and I'll say one thing, it is quite fast returning results. I've not put it head to head with Google yet to see what it does or doesn't get but it is fast and I like the way it sorts the results. I think I will try a few head to head searches this weekend to see how they compare. And, I may even … [Read more...]

Vista SP2: At a windows update near you!

June 1, 2009 By Robert Owen

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 was made available today through Windows update. I saw that there were some concerns on the web on installing the update.People having "issues". There was one  report of a User having to do a system restore after the update completed because the machine became unbootable. But, I'm brave and need to test the update so, I plowed right along. It was a typical multi-stage update, similar to the Service Pack 1 Installation, but took a little longer. The primary … [Read more...]

New Site: JustUsLeeg

May 29, 2009 By Robert Owen

I've been helping some twitter friends with a new site, JustUsLeeg.com ... Go check it out! Till you do, here's what it's about: The JustUsLeeg started out with @bc42 and @thesnarkyone having a beer at breakers. They went to high school together and decided the next time they should invite some other friends to show up. Little by little people started showing up every two weeks to geek out and have beers together. We then decided to have a tweetup every other meeting (monthly) of the JL and … [Read more...]

May 22, 2009 By Robert Owen

Today's Friday Funny comes via my friend Robyn. I saw this post on her Facebook page and thought it deserved to be out in the open.
