Unistall Norton Network Antivirus Without a Password

February 16, 2009 By Robert Owen

Here's a quick "How-to"... Symantec AntiVirus Clients, especially Corporate Edition Clients, can be installed remotely and managed via a Symantec AntiVirus Server. When a Symantec AntiVirus Client is managed, it prompts for password when you attempt to uninstall the client via local computer Control Panel Add or Remove Program applet. If you don't know or have forgotten the password, then the client is not able to be uninstalled or removed. In that case, (or when the Symantec AntiVirus … [Read more...]

BlogCFC and Windows Live Writer

September 25, 2008 By Robert Owen

This is just a little test... I'm trying the Windows Live Writer with blogCFC. If you can read this then it may be a success. We'll see. Let's make this a full fledged test and use an image as well.. The picture to the left is the new, soon to be released Blackberry Bold. It's the thing to have... forget that stupid iPhone, get something that's works and is reliable! Ok now, let's see if the text formatting works. Bold, italics, strike-through, Underline Bullet one Bullet … [Read more...]

Microsoft Zune Update

September 12, 2008 By Robert Owen

Attention all Zune owners out there! I just read over at the Supersite for Windows that Microsoft will be releasing the Zune 3.0 software/firmware update on September 16, 2008. The update adds some interesting features to the player. One makes use of the built-in FM tuner. Supposedly, if you are listening to the FM tuner on the Zune and hear a song you want, you will be able to tap the pad and purchase the song via wi-fi through the Zune Market Place. Another new feature is the addition … [Read more...]

Google Chrome: ooh, shiney!

September 3, 2008 By Robert Owen

Last night I downloaded and installed Google's new browser, Chrome. I plan on putting it through the ringer today and will, if possible, use it as my primary browser. My initial impressions are pretty positive. The download is simple and quick. There is a 400ish kilobyte installer that you download and run. That installer then brings down the rest of the browser. All in all download took about a minute or less.(that's saying something as my internet is terribly slow). When the … [Read more...]

Get Fax Receipts from SBS 2003 Fax Services

March 25, 2008 By Robert Owen

This had eluded me.. But I just found the solution so I thought I would post it... I had to reinstall a Windows 2003 Small Business Server last week.. This particular customer made use of the Fax Service. Before the reinstall the Fax Service would e-mail a receipt through Exchange to the sending user but this was no longer happening. After a little digging I found the reason why.. It was not turned on. So, to turn on The Fax receipt function in SBS 2003 you will need to do the following: Open … [Read more...]
